- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 450g steak, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 4cm root ginger, grated
- 1 chilli, chopped
- 1 green pepper, sliced
- 1 red pepper, sliced
- 3 tomatoes
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 3 tbsp dessicated coconut, flaked or shredded
Add chilli, ginger and garlic along with the beef. Fry until beef is coloured.
Remove from wok and keep warm.
Fry the peppers, then stir in the garam masala and cumin. Cook for 1 min.
Add chopped tomatoes and lemon juice and some salt. Simmer, stirring for 3-4 mins.
If it becomes dry add a little water.
Sprinkle with coconut and serve with nan bread and rice.
